INSTALLATION::

Extract visualeffects.2da to your Kotor2\Override directory.
If you don't have Override directory inside Kotor2, create it.

To uninstall, simply delete visualeffects.2da from Override.

DESCRIPTION::

This is actually more of a "hack" than a mod. It removes a lot of (but
not all) visual effects you see in TSL, especially those originating
from using Force Powers.

Effects Removed:

- various shielding FX (blue, red, etc)
- force aura, valor, heal, drain, insanity, horror, scream,
  confusion, mind trick, beast trick, stun
- beam drain
- force speed (blur)
- force fizzle FX (the one that appears if target makes a save)
- VFX that are applied to your melee weapons (including sabers)
  when you reach improvement/mastery in certain feats

Effects Remained:

- Force Lightning in All forms
- Force Push/Wave/Whirlwind ( Note: only area ripple effect remained;
  some impact FX are gone)
- Force Stun/Kill Droid (didn't remove those because they are also used
  in some non-force, plot cutscenes)
- Various Beam VFX: ion, cold, fire.
- grenades impact explosions
- Lightsaber Sparks
- various misc. VFX (removing some fx doesn't make sense.
  eg: Stealth FX, so all those remained)

NOTES:

- This only involves VISUAL effects. It doesn't in any way affect
  actual statistics of your force powers, weapons, etc. It also doesn't
  affect the way NPCs behave. In other words, if you use force choke,
  the NPC will still hang in midair choking, or go to "sleep",
  if you use stun.

- I have no idea if this actually improves any performance. The idea
  behind the mod is simply to add Star Wars "realism".

- This is still work in progress. Something like this is damn hard to test.
  Therefore, there can be innaccuracies in this readme.
